Flowers of Oahu

One of the things I enjoyed most about Oahu was the flowers that were everywhere!  Growing wild on the sides of the highway, in the jungle near Manoa Falls, and on the shores, greenery and flowers thrive.  The Hibiscus is one of the most popular!  My mother loved all things that had to do with horticulture, nature, flora and fauna!  She taught me a great appreciation of nature from an early age.

Boganvia is another favorite in Hawaii and it grows wild everywhere!  Stunningly beautiful and seen on the island in Pink, Red, and White.
Bird of paradise flowers
I'm not sure the name of this flower but it was so pretty and delicate.
The greenry around the resort was lush and gorgeous and carefully tended by a hard working yard staff.
I love this light orange hibiscus!
More lush greenery at the resort.
This flower was one of my favorites as we walked back from the forth lagoon down from Aulani to see the Black Pearl ship.
Blooming succulents in the flower beds!

                                                                    Yellow Hibiscus!

The Lei's Bill had presented to us upon arrival were made fom orchids!  Stunningly beautiful and smelled heavenly!

Fresh orchids in the lobby everyday!

In the jungle of Manoa Falls!

These double white Hibiscus were by the pool at Aulaini!
Oh, wow, they were actually triple!!

I love how married women wear a flower over their left ear, and not married over their right!  Plumeria is the flower of choice to wear over a ladies ear.
Aloha, from Oahu!  We had such a wonderful time beholding so much beauty on this lush island!
